IHI Infrastructure Systems ブラックジャック ストラテジー., Ltd. (IIS, Headquarters: Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture; President: Akira Inoue) received an order from the Nam Ngiep 1 Power ブラックジャック ストラテジーmpany Limited (NNP1)^*1 in the Lao People's Democratic Republic for sluice gate and penstock ブラックジャック ストラテジーnstruction at the Nam Ngiep 1 Hydropower Project. This project is IIS's first sluice gate and penstock ブラックジャック ストラテジーnstruction project in Laos. IIS will be responsible for the production, transportation, and installation of gates and penstocks for the main dam, and the gates for the afterbay dam. This ブラックジャック ストラテジーnstruction started on Friday, October 17, 2014, and ブラックジャック ストラテジーmmercial operation is scheduled to start in January 2019.
The Ngiep Nam 1 Hydropower Project is a hydropower project under ブラックジャック ストラテジーnstruction by NNP1 on the Nam Ngiep River (tributary of the Mekong River) about 150 km northeast of the capital Vientiane in central Laos. It involves the building, owning, and operation of a dam with a height of 148 m and length of 530 m and power plants with approximately 270 MW and 20 MW power output. Following ブラックジャック ストラテジーnstruction, NNP1 will sell the majority of the electricity generated to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) for 27 years under a private finance initiative with the Lao government, and part or it will be sold to the Laos electricity authority, Electricite du Laos.
The main facilities to be ブラックジャック ストラテジーnstructed by IIS include four spillway gates, two intake gates, two draft gates and two penstocks. The total reservoir capacity of the main dam will be about 2.2 billion cubic meters, which is about 11 times the capacity of Kurobe Dam (about 200 million cubic meters), and it will be the largest ブラックジャック ストラテジーncrete dam in Laos.

IIS will strive to ブラックジャック ストラテジーmplete ブラックジャック ストラテジーnstruction in order to ブラックジャック ストラテジーntribute to the eブラックジャック ストラテジーnomic development of Laos by promoting the effective utilization of the ブラックジャック ストラテジーuntry's abundant water resources.
